I agree with you Littlerich....although disappointed,we need to kick on,would rather win in the Championship than get hammered every week in Superleague! There's another chance in July,slim but a chance! So continue to make it hard for the RFL, and you never know????? Cas are on thin ice with the ground, so that will be our only way in i feel...but if the posts get shifted again you can never be certain! I FOR ONE LOVED THE GRAND FINAL,AND LOVE BEING THE CHAMPIONSHIP CHAMPIONS!!!!!

Talking of reality though, there's gonna be a reality check for a current SL team as well, there's a few now that will be bricking it.

If Fax gets the performances going and get themselves to the top of the league, put on a good show on the BBC against the Bulls, keeps the crowds up then I think there might be a better than slim chance in July. Just need to make sure as a club you are heard and put it without doubt that you should be in that league as a competitive team. There'll be a few teams in SL that will be worrying!

I don't think anyone can begrudge Widnes a place this time after the 2008 farce. Let's get the games won, the crowds in and get top of the league so that we have to force the RFL's hand and award us a place.

I have nothing against Widnes but for me I knew Widnes would get it but strangly feel gutted because Mr Lewis has said we meet the minimum requirements to be a SL Club.

To be fair to Widnes their bid is probably as good as two thirds of the clubs in SL. So it is no shame to miss out to them. However, come July I'm confident our bid will be better than at least 5 clubs currently in SL. So am more than confident that we will be selected then. Cas and Wakey will drop out, our they will expand the league.

Plus it's only fair Widnes get extra time to recruit, seeing as they are so bad at it!!
