Demolished I'm afraid to say. Our lads just didn't get themselves into the game or the arm wrestle up front. Leigh were very good and we invited them onto us with far too many errors. I don't think we got to a last tackle kick until 5 mins before half time as we just kept dropping the ball on 1st and 2 tackles in our own half.Can't do that against a side as good as Leigh.
Strength in depth was also key- Leigh bench Moi Moi; Hock; Higham. Fax bench Bennion; Robinson;Brandon Moore. Men against boys I'm afraid(absolutely no critcism of these Fax lads-just learning their trade)
We really must get behind the lads next week and not forget it's still in our hands despite getting hammered today.

Two wins and we're defo in the top 4. London at Batley is a key one next week as well.

The ref wasn't great, and we all felt we were hard done to. Possibly we were, but he didn't keep on dropping the ball or put in silly high shots. It was just before half-time before we finally managed to complete a set. That's just awful rugby, and the scoreboard reflected that.

Slightly better in the 3rd quarter, but I sensed we were already thinking about next week's game already.

We needed almost mistake-free play today, and it just didn't happen. Maybe we were trying to force it a bit too much, but it wasn't good to watch - albeit we did show some glimmers now and again.

Our left side was exploited time and again, and how we missed Manu there today. Flat (or forward) passes to a player running into a gap - Leigh showed they were good at that today - our problem was that we kept leaving the gaps for them to run through.

Andy was a great servant to us, and in a game like this would have been ideal. In the broader sense, he didn't seem to fit into Richard Marshall's plans. Richard hasn't gone as far as I know, and was named in our 19-man squad. I don't know why he didn't make the 17.

I'm not sure how a ref can "keep us in it" when we lose by 40 points, but there were a couple of key incidents when the decision didn't go our way. The first Leigh try was off a blatant forward pass for instance (I was right in line with it). Overall, we were the masters of our own downfall, but there were a few similar looking incidents for ball-rips or dropped ball, and we always seemed to be on the wrong side of the decision. No excuses, we were poor, and you're right that we needed a bit more muscle on the pitch up the middle (Richard Moore, Ryan Boyle and Dane Manning, for instance).

I thought ref was pretty good. Your first try was a knock on... He let you play him pretty well.. Keeping the ball in the scrum and then us getting pinged for offside! I always expect fax games to big niggly physical games but it just wasn't today! I expect if we play in the 8's you will be a lot better I have no doubt

Frustrating afternoon but Leigh deserved everything they got today

Never seen such a dire performance from a fax side for many years. what was completion rate in first half ? Has to be a record low. Knock on's and penalty gave Leigh unprecedented possession and field position and add to that their forwards dominated ours all game. Hicks was also dire but he did not lose us the game. We have lost a bit of aggression in our pack and need it back for next week. Didn't expect a win there today but nor did i expect that kind of score or performance. Hopefully we can put that right next week we have to or its all over I'm afraid. some players just not cutting it for me....no names but i am sure others feel the same about these players.

LOL, you are allowed to keep the ball in the scrum if you want, and if the opposition goes into "automatic" mode and assumes it will come straight out then, well, that's a penalty if they move before the ball is out! We all judge refereeing performances in a one-sided fashion, but I still don't think he kept us in it.

The "niggle" started at the Shay with some successful tactics being used by Paul Rowley when you were losing at half-time in 2014. Sam Barlow being one of the main offenders. Later, at the LSV, Dane Manning lost it, taking out Sam and being punished with a 10-match ban. All that is in the past, and we both have different coaches now (which is probably the main reason that it was a pretty clean game today). Fax have zero visits to the disciplinary this season so far.

Think it was played at a super league pace and he didn't allow you to slow it down! Don't think he was bad at all, one of the best displays I've seen all year be honest! As I've said I think you lot will be a different team again come the 8's

Also were Moore, Kaye and Boyle rested today? Sounds like we could have done with their size but we are in no different position to before the game, we need to win 2 games but a win next week may be enough if London beat Batley. Time will tell but let's hope that's a bad game out of the way and we carry on as we have been the last couple of weeks.
