So let me get this straight, he signs a contract to play for Leeds and then gets all in a strop when Leeds won't let him play for another team ?

Did he take legal advice when he signed the contract ?

How old is Pitts now? We seem to have had him for ages but he hasn't seemed to have got a run in the team. Even when he has played well he hasn't always been selected for the next week. Mind second row is a strong position at the club

I can understand his frustration.

He's a lad who wants to play rugby. He wants to play for Leeds, but is realistic about where he is in the pecking order in a position where there is alot of long term, signed-up, traffic.

The loan option for players in similar positions (amor, ambler etc) gets them to show off their talents in Super League.

I'd rather see Pitts playing for Hull, than not seeing him play at all.

Given the fall out from the Pearson take over and sh## slinging aimed at Mrs H and her reign as chair-person i'd say it's more about the Club than Pitts himself.

Pitts was made a lot of promises when he signed for Leeds, based on development. Unfortunately, for him and the club McClennan changed his approach, and then we had a change in coach, which has stumped the development of the lad.

If we are not going to play him, and lets face it why oh why do we keep putting Kirke first, then why not let the lad go and play for another club to try and prove himself.

If he's in a strop them why doesn't he ask for a contract release/transfer ?

If you are so confident of your own abilities and feel that you're not getting the correct coaching or development and your loan to a specific club is denied then the next step is a chat with your manager and a request to move on, surely ?

What if he just wants the chance to develop and prove himself, but want's a career at Leeds? if he is not been played then the best course of action for him to do that and prove something is out on loan. What is the problem with that? it's not necessarily a strop.

The OP, whose sons are coached by Pitts, reckons he's unhappy. If Pitts is making this known to all & sundry it sounds like a strop to me.

I would have thought the obvious answer to that would be if you wont let me go on loan, then i must be pretty close to first team here, when do i get my chance and what do i need to keep it.

Im not sure how much you can blame the club when Pitts has been overtaken by the younger Clarkson, and a player who was primarily a centre in Delaney. Its not like we arent giving players a chance in the back row.
