Wigan tweeted yesterday they'd sold just over 7k?!
I know the play offs are generally poor supporter but that's bad especially for Wigan.

Wakefield have nearly sold their initial allocation as well.

I haven't bought one.

Having taken just under 2k to Leigh away I would think wakey will take closer to 3k and maybe more to headingly. Should make for a cracking atmosphere.

and 9th? - We finished 8th, its not Wakefields fault that Bradford were in administration and got points deducted.

It's not the Bradford player's fault either that the club has been financially miss-managed over a lengthy period. Unless Bradford have exceeded the salary cap - and I'm not aware that they have this season - Bradford's results earned them 7th and Wakefield's results earned them 9th - a great effort as many predicted a fight with Widnes for the wooden spoon rather than a shot at making the play-offs.

That said Wakefield's on field performances earned them 9th and it's not really credible to dispute that fact.

It may not be the Bull's players' fault, but the fact is they couldnt afford the players that they had and they were apparently paid from next seasons sky money, advanced by the RFL ?

Erm... actually, no I won't be going to that game either. At the start of this season, I decided I was interested only in fixtures which actually meant something (that rules out the regular season fixtures in their entirety) against genuine competitive opposition where I'm not sure of the result beforehand (that'll be about 2 or 3 fixtures a season then).

However, due to unsavoury events taking place mainly off the pitch, I made a decision several months ago that the Stupor League product lacks way too much credibility and is fatally flawed in so many aspects that it's no longer a product worthy of my support on any level. I shall however remain openly critical of it until such a time arrives (and it will eventually) that the sport re-establishes it's roots and serves the interests of all clubs as opposed to just the chosen few.


I'm pleased that we've established Wakefield did indeed finish 9th. Long live Stupor League's rewarding of mediocrity. That'll be Leeds finishing 5th and being rewarded with a home play-off game against 9th placed whipping boy SL rabble where the result is not in doubt.

And nor was it the fault of players at other clubs that Wakefield failed to pay a £300,000 tax bill last season.

I don't quite understand how some Wakefield supporters can revel in Bradford's failings when their club cheated the league and the tax payer (and yes, using funds collected as tax to run your club is cheating) to such an extent.

Wakey fans current enthusiasm for the SL product due to being rewarded for finishing 9th on the ladder is a far cry from the negative outpourings about SL in general when you all thought your team was going to get punted last year.

The term fickle doesn't do your principles justice (assuming you had any to begin with).
