A very tough game with both teams in the thick of the battle to stay in the top eight race. Leeds need a win or they could be mathematically in the middle eights. Wakefield need a win to secure their top eight spot.

The way the teams are performing there's only Widnes and Salford as bad as us.
HKR may have left it too late so for me we are bottom 4 material over the course of the season.
Unless we can turn it round very quickly and win our next 3 games.
Wakefield are up and down so are Huddersfield wheras we no longer have any up about us.
Worrying times indeed.

A downside for us is that Wakefield can virtually assure their safety if they win this game. OTOH their remaining games are potentially winnable. For us though its really do or die now. We could possibly afford to lose this game, but would then be relying on a lot going our way and winning the last two under huge pressure.

It’s not virtually, we can assure safety as we would be 5 points ahead of Leeds with only 4 points left to play for before the split. Unfortunately, we are not necessarily good at taking advantage of situations like this and don’t have a great record against Leeds, so I am concerned, especially as I expect you to beat Widnes and Salford meaning a Leeds win this Friday gives you a great chance of being in the top 8 at the split and leaves us potentially needing to beat the Giants away in the last game (another unhappy hunting ground for us)

if we do drop into the middle 8's, if we don't get at least a couple of wins then to go into them with we are in bug trouble. no momentum, no form and no confidence.
