Played for Celtic reserves v Wigan reserves at Orrell yesterday and looked overweight and disinterested.

He probably thinks he should be in the 1st team, but reserve grade rugby certainly is doing him no favours, he could have had that playing at Saints. Maybe he should have stayed at Widnes for another season.

It must be frustrating for him, Saints first team to celtic reserves. That said he should get his head down and earn his place in Celtics first team and show what he can do.

So wrong attitude and he'll go nowhere in the game...

It's certainly doing him no favours playing for Celtic reserves. If he's been sent to Celtic to help him develop and gain valuable Superleague experience, then it's turning into a waste of time and should be recalled immediately.

If he's been sent out just to get him off our wage bill until his contract expires, we may as well release the lad.

I think Ste's biggest problem is that he's been having it rammed down his throat for the past five years that he's going to be the next big thing, and he probably thought it was just going to happen for him.

It's a shame really, because he did look an awesome prospect at one stage.

A real shame. TBH if he cant get into the celtic first team he has 0 prospects back at Saints. For me he just isnt quick enough, especially off the mark

I know someone who's daughter was matey with him, and always said he was a touch big headed, maybe that was down to people bigging him up, but it seems that his attitude is all wrong to make it as a pro in RL.

Maybe he was sent to Celtic by the club to judge his reaction, if so, he's failing this test.

Banister has the talent it's just his attitude at one stage which let him down, he's back for now for us and i cant wait to see him go. Tyrer has problems in defence and if he can sort that part of his game out he will be a handy player as he can finish.

Wasn't Chris Dean on loan for your lot at the same time as Tyrer? If so how would you compare the two whilst playing in the same team?
In my opinion, in 12 months time Dean will be way ahead of him in the pecking order anyway.

I think the fact Dean is still at saints and very much part of the 1st team squad while Tyrer is playing reserve level at the team likely to get the wooden spoon sums it up ... I watched em both play for Widnes and Tyrer seemed to have found his level tbh

Dean and Foster are the present. Whether they will be the future remains to be seen.
