Hypothetical question



Lets say, just as an example, a leading NRL & Queensland player receives a lifetime ban from the NRL because he has been found guilty of a major indiscretion, like match fixing for example, will their ban be upheld by Super League?

Given the situation of players like Bird and Carney who were allowed to play in this country.

If it goes through as a criminal offence they won't get visa's or are unlikely too at least! If it's simply an NRL boards ban then guess they could do as the RFL were happy to register Bird when banned from playing NRL.

Friendless is a poor way of saying that it's an outsider in the betting.

Nobody wanting to back it = friendless.

Personally i'd happily take the scandal for Thurston.

Bird wasn't banned from playing in the NRL. Cronulla suspended him and eventually agreed to his release on the understanding he wouldn't sign for another NRL club.
