Really enjoyed listening to his comments on SLSM tonight.

To be fair he was quite honest and his own opinions of his form where refreshingly honest. I always thought when watching him that he always seamed to play better under some coaches compared to others.

Interested in watching Connelly at the end of the programme. He could have really done with an interview programme like this 15 years ago, it may have stopped some fans impressions of the reasons why he left (was forced to leave) the club.

Looking forward to the Connolly one next week Sullivan wasnt a big fan Mike or Ellery

Seriously though, I'm looking forward to next weeks programme, it should be very interesting, and maybe it'll put an end to the Judas thing when the real story comes out.
I've enjoyed most of those programmes with the possible exception of "how great I am" Bobby (Bobbie) Goulding.

Carney is very good in that interviewing role. I'd like too see the "out takes" though.

Connolly was a great player. Selling him may have given us the money to buy new additions to the team, but even though the ends justified the means. It would have been better if the club could have let him go and be honest about whose choice it was.

Connolly is one of the best players I've ever seen.

Garry Connolly is not a Judas and never was, he was forced out by Saints basically. Maurice of course was upto his cheating ways but they wouldnt have worked if Saints would have wanted to keep him.

Not even close. Didn't he only score something like ONE try in over 10 years playing for GB?

Terrific defensively, but limited. I'd take the likes of Newlove/Gibbs/Lyon/Gidley over him at centre in just the last 10 years at Saints.

Looking forward to watching the programme though - always good to get things from the horses mouth and I bet it will be a pretty cathartic exercise for him from a St Helens POV.

I thought his attack was under rated, tbh. He was very quick over 100m, although he did have the luxury of playing for Wigan in 94 and 95 which may have given him extra freedom to show it. IMO, anyone who got to see Paul Newlove's tenure at saints is as privaliged as a speccy can be.
Would I have taken GC over Iro or Lyon? Mmmm.....

Connolly wasn't in the same galaxy as Jamie Lyon.
