Agreed about Lawrence.  A lot of his critics have no idea at all - they seem to rate our props on the eye-catching carries only and not all the other stuff.  Shows a complete lack of knowledge.   Lawrence never gets put on his back, his footwork is excellent, in fact I'd go as far as to say it's the best of  all our props.  They would all do well to work on it as it'd increase the speed of our PTB loads.


In defence he sticks every time and controls the ruck, you never seem him laid on the ground or kneeling up watching the tackled player play the ball.  Again, it's another important part of the game that he excels at.  


He's been chosen as club captain so must be a good communicator and have the respect of the squad.  


So what that he doesn't knock people flying when he takes the ball up, he gets a quicker PTB than many that do.  

Looks like Ormondroyd has gone to Oldham. Shame.

Joe Shorrocks any good? Not based on any inside information I just saw it mentioned that him and Ryan are next ones to depart.


Must admit I expected we might have announced Ryan by now if he was coming - are they building up to an announcement or has he had a better offer elsewhere?

Shorrocks is a big body and has a lot of Super League experience. However, every time I've seen him play his discipline is awful, so I would dodge this one.

Ryan I'm assuming has a few offers on the table but he has been seen at Bulls games as a spectator so who knows.
