Personally, the idea of 25,000 in Wheldon Rd is almost as frightening as the idea of 104,000 in Odsal Crater …

Word on the street is that over 17,000 once crammed into Post Office Road (or was it the Jimmy Saville Stadium in those days).

31,326 verses Saints in Hilton park
Over a hundred years and we havent achieved anything have we , we,ve had ' our chance '
A few interesting images on here www.youtube.com/watch?v=05wlFakdIyI
My Father was one of hundreds of volunteers who built the place back in 1947
And this is now www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQW0n7ut0V0
It came down a bit quicker than it went up
A sad day

| Huddersfield,s record is
The highest attendance at Fartown to watch a Huddersfield game was 32,912 against Wigan on the 4 March 1950.
This figure is disputed by HKR fans as they feel it is exceeded every time they visit the Galpharm

I really have no idea how they all fit into Knowsley Road though.

Odsal Crater is quite a sprawling area though, so 104,000 could quite happily cram into there I reckon, Wouldnt be too comfortable but if you look at the aerial photo the crowd was spread over quite an area.
I'll ask my Gran next time I see her, she was there that day
