We were talking after the Wire/Broncos in the pub on Sunday about who has been the best full back of the Super League era.

Anyone no one could agree, Wellens, Radlinski, Tomkins and Hodgson were all mentioned but not one of us came up with a conclusive decision. I'd say if anything it was leaning towards Radlinski, although a few were saying that Tomkins will go on to be the best of the Super League era.

Had his career not been cut short by injury we might be adding Steve Prescott to that list. He was the form full when it happened.

Brett Hodgson, mainly because he is archetype of what a FB now should be, a floating pivot and link player.

On a more serious note it has to be Radders for me altough a strong case could be made for Hodgson but I think his best years were with the Tigers not in the SL

Unquestionably Wellens. Radlinski was competent but uninspired. Prescott? With the greatest respect, no.
