He clearly has passion for the game, but I wish he'd expand on what he thinks the British game should be about. He says the NRL is a fantastic product, so why shouldn't we copy it?

Sounds like he's been reading a RedVee article and taken it as being true. What is this British game that everybody talks about? The way people talk about "The British game" they think that the Australians don't throw the ball around which is wrong. The difference between the two is the Australians know when to move the ball about and we don't.
