If I was going too be hyper critical, an extra body or two in the front row will be needed if the aspiration is to reach the top 8. A little more pace too. if the club got someone with pace playing as a right centre between BMM and Carney, he would score a bucketful.

Fair point I think Mcguire had a season in 2006 when he never passed the ball!


All I meant was to me it looked like some of them were looking a bit too much for themselves especially in try scoring opportunities, you could have had 60 or 70 if players hadn't looked for themselves

My late uncle was a committed Salford fan all his adult life and as a result I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the club.

Just great to see a famous club which is and has been integral to the story of the game get such a marvellous and spirit strengthening win against one of the recognised big beasts in the jungle.

There's not much I can add that hasn't already been said. It was a fantastic performance. One very noticeable difference was the speed at the play of the ball - much better than last season. We were quick off our line and got right in the faces of the Saints defence. Lets hope we can have more of the same against Widnes.
