From a logistical point of view, could be a good thing....gives teams a 'free' weekend, allowing much needed rest for players, which is something a lot of coaches have always wanted.

Wont happen. Not only will the RFL bend over backwards to ensure "crusaders" compete in SL2011, I believ their own rules will not allow Widnes to play in SL as St Helens have already registered Stobart Stadium as their home ground for 2011 and ground sharing amongst SL teams is not allowed (unless they change the rule as was proposed to allow Cas and Wakefield to share)

They better change the rules then, because from what I've heard Saint's new ground won't be ready for 2012.

Well if the above is true and ground sharing may cost Widnes the change of a SL licence, I would turn around to Saints and tell them to shove it and go find somewhere else to play next year.

Not a chance, other sides maybe but Widnes *(Halton council) are helping out a big club their is no chance they will even consider holding that against us.

Saints ground will be ready, initially was meant to be mid next season but they ahve signed a deal with us for the full season just to make sure and also have a proper season stadium opening etc.

Really would like to see Widnes back in the superleague.

It's a Northern sport RL, and it will always be so.
