Just because Carney forgot to mention that the Wire's game on Friday
is in 3D, Hemmings told him "If you're going to read the announcments
make sure you read it all"

Carney "I lost interest half way through"

Hemmings "you can't afford to lose interest if you want the top job one
of these days"

Why couldn't he have just said "you fogot to mention its in 3D too Brian"

I've had enough of this idiot, he ruins every game with his meaningless,
ignorant rantings. Sooner he's gone the better.

The use of pills as a metaphor by Clarke was one of the great commentary moments for mine.

Do you think Eddie's comment to Carney about him wanting the top job was him letting something slip?

Carney is well thought of at Sky, he's already on the Just for Men and it's clear he's the one for the future. Why Eddie had to bring it up in the middle of his rant/lecture to Carney I don't know, it felt really patronising from Hemmings. He seems like a right diva when he wants to be.

There was just no need for it. A simple addition to Carney's comment would have sufficed. Imagine if somebody interrupted every omission or mistake Eddie makes with a condescending retort.

I absolutley love watching the Super League on sky , I look forward to it all week but for me the commentry is very poor at the moment we all agree on that. I am fed up with the biased thoughts of clarkey every game on sky Wigan Warriors practically always get mentioned he even said last week on sky Joel Monaghan scored two tries against US last year meaning wigan , Eddie is constantly getting all the players names wrong , surely this is one of the most important things he needs to get right.

The big one was last night at saints when he suggested the rhinos dying there hair for CHARITY has put them in the wrong frame of mind and is unproffesional which was totally uncalled for , Surely we should be happy that our game is getting involved in the charity.


Reckon there should be a re-shuffle on that side of things , I actually like Brian Carney he comes across very well and has actually played the game unlike eddie.

It was a nasty, pernicious slap-down for Carney (obviously seen as a
major threat to his position), and it was in public.

I actually think Hemmings is quite witty and a pretty good presenter (but
not as good as Clair Balding or Carney), but he is definitley NOT a commentator.

Many of the patronising comments he has made to Stevo over the years have been
in the same vein.

Unfortunatley he is worse for the image of our game than Eddy Waring was. He
eventually found his niche in "Its a knockout".

Where next Hemmings ? To be honest I really don't care, just as long as it's
a long way from RL.

I agree. Its time for change, both Eddie and his idiotic blad friend have to go, both very dated and purely NOT entertaining anymore, they come across as very amateur and unprofessional, the hemmings dig at Carney was nasty and you could tell he meant it, I bet Carney was fuming inside.
