Bridge and Ratch starting halves tonight, with myler on the bench, probably moving bridge to loose when he comes on. True test tonight, what are our thoughts?

I think tonight will be an interesting test to see how we can cope when it matters with key players out. Hopefully Myler can produce the goods when he's on.

I think we've wasted a subs spot since you ask, but I'm as bored of saying it as you probably are of reading it.

Yeah, the forwards are where this game is going to be won.

Personally i dont think Myler should play we need to be big on the bench imo.

These days, ALL games are won in the forwards, hence the modern preference for a four-forward subs bench.

However, when you are missing four of your first choice forwards from the bench or starting 13, weakening the pool even more by choosing an out-of-form half-back on the bench is a huge risk.

I am not too confident about tonight. Our kicking game and the ability to control their kick return could be the key. They start their sets off so well with how they return the ball then their forwards can roll on into our half. Kick early and chase like mad or kick for touch and set our defence.

I would NEVER advocate having a back on the bench. That isn't how the game is played and hasn't been for years. Four forwards every day of the live long week. And anybody who proposes otherwise is delusional or simply doesn't understand the game.

Actually looking forward to tonight, plenty of room for packmen to stake a claim for jerseys. Nothing to lose with 'House and Benny missing, everything to gain.
