Having only just read the "deleted or locked thread" ... I'm becoming concerned that this is becoming a more censored forum as oppossed to what it actually is... an unofficial one.
Whilst I welcome the comments of some BOM on here, you are appearing as typical management intent on browbeating the common folk to toe the party line. Time to keep away from this forum for me!

I agree that the site is becoming more sanitzed, but I like the fact that members of the BOM post on here.

Not complaining about certain posts but its becoming to official for my liking and akin to minutes sent from a SMT meeting. My opinion of course.

I was about to suggest bringing back the early days of anarchy....and then remembered that was 12 years ago!

Open your eyes people, there's hardly any moderation takes place on here - and whenever there is, people create a new thread to complain about the moderation.

You don't get cart-blanché on here guys, because the people running this site have responsibilities. Where I see fit, for the benefit of this site or the club I support, threads or posts may be removed.

In reality it rarely happens, and often not until a topic has been done to death.

It makes me wonder if anyone complaining here genuinely knows what censorship involves, and why it is bad.

To be honest, I think the first two words of the above quote says a lot about your mindset. If you'd ever held a management position for even a few weeks, then perhaps you'd have a different perspective. Besides, what do the "common folk" do in response to "typical management"? Form a union, which itself has (highly paid) management that requires them to toe "the party line" (compulsory Labour membership, strike action etc. and a host of other petty rules and regulations) far more than the company management ever would!

I posted on that thread and did not read any replies for the remainder of the day. When I logged back on I could not find it anywhere. I now learn it has been removed due ro some offensive posts that are not in the clubs interest. So was it my post that caused great offence? I sincerely hope not as I am doing my best to bring people to this game who have not watched Leigh for a considerable amount of time, and I did make some positive contributions about how us fans and word of mouth being the clubs greatest asset in pushing the match.

You don't know, but if you did need to know then you would.

Then this would suggest that moderation needs to be done by someone totally independent of the club and not people who take a unilateral decision in what is or isn't in the clubs interest. I am not even sure that an independent fans forum should have any responsibility for looking after the clubs interests!

Read the AUP 2.2 and do what it says it tell s you what to do if you don't agree with any decision , what's the point of going on and on about it !

Well observed I am indeed a staunch Trade Unionist and long will it continue, as for your assumption of my mindset or my involvement in a managerial status, is just that , assumption .
