| Can anyone explain how Tony Clubb managed to get a 4 year contract when he refuses/cannot pass to his right? How can any winger shine outside of that donkey!!! It seems to happen every game.

| So you feel lacking the vision of a simple overlap is a good thing?
Football or rugby, decision making makes a good player and Clubb is blind to an overlap and a right handed pass.
I guess you missed that in both last nights game and the Wigan game.

| There are lot of players and even clubs that dont put there move on to the right. A left to right pass is lead by the left hand which generally isnt the strongest

Its the majority of soccer players having a stronger right than left foot or vice versa. Some can do both, some are totally one footed, tell me the next time you see Arjen Robben do anything with his right foot other than stand on it, you will never need to tell me that is for sure but it has not stopped him becoming one of the worlds great players
Having said that as a schoolkid who went rugby training once a week and then played matches at the weekend, as a scrum half it was essential that you could pass off both sides and my once a week training saw me work on passing to the right
I cannot comment whether Tony Clubb can pass to the right or not but every professional players training every day should be equally as good on both sides IMO

| He passes to J'OC. I'm guessing you might be refering to the time when he had made a break, should of passed to J'OC, but didn't?
I've explained my POV on this at the game,
Clubb made the break, simply because he put his head down and ran. When he tries to, he can be very fast, if he was looking for the pass to early, he wouldn't of made the break to begin with, as he wouldn't of got up to that speed. When he realised he needed to pass, he slowed down, hit the tackle, tried to turn, but the defender turned him in a way that meant he just threw the ball back rather than being able to control the pass to J'OC.
Thats my POV on it.

| I can appreciate the left/right hand issue, but surley if he cannot pass left to right then he should be on the other side of the pitch?
Yes Tim I am referring to that instance, IMO he should have drawn the defender and put the winger away.
A similar thing happened against Wigan. Fortunately a speculative cross field kit from Mr Clubb resulted in a score, however again the winger was in acres of space.
Forgive my lack of tactical knowledge but with his size and pace should he not be used up the middle of the paddock.
Backs have skill/pace, forwards have size/bulk. Where would you play him?

| Did you actually see the game? How was Clubb in acres of space? He made the break from putting his head down and just running, he should of put his winger away yes, but i explained why (imho) he didn't.

| Yes I saw both games live, re read my post "acres of space" relates to the Wigan game.
And yes I read your post on how he aimlessly put his head down and ran into contact.
Apparantly another simple overlap was missed against Hull away. I was not at that game.
Now in your opinion is right side centre the best position for his talents?
Considering your assessment of his direct running style and reliance on needing a bit of space to pick up pace.

this is a crazy post
yr having a go at hinm for niot passing on a move that ended in a try?? how wierd
Look at the stats
look at the mtrs the bloke has made this season, why would he make more if he was in the middle of the park?
maybe keeping hold sometimes and building the platform is the best option
TC fn clubb is alive and kicking
