| Ian Lenegan said that the match with the Skolars today was the "beginning of a new strategy to develop the Wigan brand in the south."
Seems like one club have an idea about marketing on the capital! BTW the Wigan kids won 48-0!

| Not sure of the point of the game, if it is just to send the Wigan kids for a day out in London? rather than a Capital Challenege it is really just a friendly.
It summed it up when Ian Ramsdale tweeted the scribbled official team sheet, I would have thought if the game was played under the auspices of The RFL, the referee would have had an RFL official team sheet, as part of his appointment yes only a small point, but it does not look good on twitter.

| Exactly, what's the point of putting your club in front of a potential audience of wealthy and influential people from the City of London?
Much better the Broncos way....

| You could also do the maths, 800 people paying £15. Including a couple of hundred who paid for corporate hospitality. I know that the Skolars use it to get sponsors and generally promote themselves in London. Now why would anyone do that?

Has it ever resulted in getting sponsors then?

| Shock! Jaybs has posted more uneducated hate (along with his usual Cr*p) about the Skolars. It's as though he's jealous of a successfully run London club.
The money raised by Skolars today will go a long way for a club of their size, they've shown themselves in an excellent light (both on and off the pitch today) today in front of men and women with money and their squad have had a good work out against one of the best Academy sides in the country.
But hey, the Broncos, they're great. They don't let you know anything, have had more homes than a gypsy and are run by complete and utter clowns.

Those are some good people to get involved....still, the Broncos are turning away blue chip companies every day...

A scribbled team sheet. I wonder how a typed one ever gets done or thought about. Wigan and err rather more seemed to be there than last year. All round a good day, and the problem would be?
