| Broncos started their Northern Championship campaign at a new home but against familiar opponents in Cardiff Demons.
It all started very well with Broncos building a 22-6 lead by half time including a fantastic hat-trick from Nicole Kennedy.
Cardiff came out for the second half showing they were up for the battle by quickly getting a try back.
Ex-Bronco Sue Neumann was causing lots of problems down the middle and Cardiff kept plugging away at the lead getting the equaliser with not long left to play.
Broncos will rue a couple of second half handling errors in promising positions but overall a good performance.
Definite improvements from last season, I thought we looked much more secure under the high ball and (particularly in the first half) the play of the ball seemed speedy. We certainly have players capable of making line breaks.
Chiswick RFC was also an upgrade in terms of facilities despite there being no stand. The pitch looks to be in better shape than at The Rock and food was available.
If you've not seen the women play, it is well worth a visit.
