I have noticed that abuse of the ref is creeping into our game more and more ie fielden on Friday and calderwood last night. is it about time the rl started to clamp down on this behaviour and handed out lengthy bans before it gets out of control like it is in puffball where the players act like spoilt brats whinging and sulking at every decision.Refs make mistakes take it on the chin and get on whit the game

What did anyone think to calderwood decision? or non-decision as it was. I thought it should have been a penalty, Senior cuts across Calders and slows down, obstruction for me. Not that it would have mattered, Hull where poor last night imo

In essence, you are of course correct. But when you get situations as in Wigan v Hull KR, when a blatant bit of cheating by the supposedly neutral ref in effect takes the game away from one side, then they must expect everything they get.

i would nt say calderwood saying go to the screen he ostructed me was ewt bad do you ,them 2 idiots made more of it than any 1 stevo @ co , now if it s true that fielden said your a bent b@stard or on them lines its different ,,,,,,,,,, but putting all this a side they refs are getting worse they should be dropped for games some of the decisionss lately are a joke

Thaler's out of form. He's been good in many games but now is poor.
Justin Morgan was fined £4k with £2k suspended over Thaler having a poor game. Our Ben had a nightmare in the Saints/Catalan game and was poor in the Wire/Wigan fixture.
It's not what we want to see, players mouthing the ref but when they get it so very obviously wrong it tests everyone's patience.
In Aus the press and all the media would have been on Silverwood & Thaler's case and they would have been dropped.
That does not happen here, refs get a very easy ride from the media and therefore the RFL does not have to do anything.

simple. question the ref decision on a penalty, extra ten yards. do it on a try sin bin, do it again red card.

I see at least 2 game ban for fielden if found guilty and rightly so abuse of officals is part of no sport and deserves to get punished.

look at Peacock for example when addressing the ref

"Yes sir, no sir, ok sir"

that's how it should be

No, it would make the game awful. Only once the refs get the decisions correct would it make sense.
