Time to kick on and win the grand final.

12 games left, 4 points clear with no other distractions.

We really need to give the boys a big reception next sunday and make sure we kick the season on from here.

We didnt deserve to lose yesterday, but we did. Its not the end of our season and we now have a great chance to kick on and go all the way in the big one.

To do this the boys will need our loud and loyal support. Come on Wigan, it starts with Cas on Sunday.

I'll be there cheering the lads on.

Thankfully were at home, and if we can get off to that all important good start we should win, and win well.

The lads put in a tremendous effort yesterday and with continued enthusiasm like that we'll top the table, and put ourselves in the best position possible to win the Grand Final.

Correct. I'm gutted about yesterday, it hurts like hell - hence I stayed away from here last night. Proud of the way the guys stood up the champions on their own patch last night, we took them the whole way - doubt they will have many harder games than that this season.
Just on the subject, still enjoying this season better than last even though we got to the Semi's, so if there are any "I told you so" Maguire knockers out there, they can all fook off!!

That said, onwards and upwards - lets kick on against Cas. I think they will suffer one mighty backlash next week against us cause those players (and coaches) will be smarting like hell.

Its the community day, bumper crowd expected - 16K? Lets get behind the boys and get those two points in the bag and show the rest of the SL that we are still a force to be reckoned with this season.

Lets hope Amos is ok, seemed to hobble about a bit and hardly recieved the ball.

I am more confident than ever about us reaching the Grand Final, especially if we finish top. Losing in that wasy yesterday can only be used as motivation for the rest of the season, they wont ever want to feel like that again. Really looking forward to the rest of the season, it makes a change from previous seasons where we have never really had a chance of even dreaming about Old Trafford, we have shown we are good enough to do the business this year. Bring it on.

I said at the beginning of the season that I was confident that the next five seasons would be better than our last five. We are definitely heading in the right direction. I still think our best chance of silverwear this season is the hubcap - unfortunately its the one that commands least financial gain and the least respect, (maybe not with opposition players but with the media and fans).

Whether we can make a dent in the playoffs remains to be seen, we do not have that "Big Game" Semi Final / Final winning experience yet, however that will come over the next year or two certainly.

What about the 6 they've lost and 1 they've drawn already this year?



Huge improvement in Wigan this year - I said at the start of 2009 that 2011 would be the year Wigan regained top dog status, based on some leeway in the cap, and I still think that will be the case.

There is that, but that Leeds team was something like the Leeds team we have seen for the last couple of seasons. I had doubts about winning all week, think we matched them - perhaps we should have pipped them, but its history now.

We must get the Top Spot now, Our next six games are crucial, i expect a big performance against Cas next week.



Leeds are getting back into form and even so It was a 50/50 game to be fair, maybe Leeds have a nack of winning big games who knows?



Im most pleased about the consistency this year, last year we would put a big performance in then throw it all away the following week, we now seem to be able to put in good performances week in week out.

Your right we should be able to recruit some more quality in the forwards as lots of players could potentially go at the end of this season, our backs are fine IMO, although i expect Saints to be stronger in 2011 too with the cap space they will have.

Im sure we will come up with a good performance on Sunday. We played well at Leeds, just lacked a little composure towards the end, and as they say, didnt get the rub of the green? Bring on Cas and lets get back to winning ways
