Since when has winning the challenge cup meant being champions?

That is one factor but the main factor, I was told, is that they have been doing pitch work at the HJ and the recent weather delayed them somewhat - so they are not sure if it'll be ready for the proposed date. I guess thats why the announcement of the game is delayed as well. |

The RFL should create a chairty shield event. CC winnners v GF winners to kick of the season is a great idea IMO. It works in football and I think it could get a decent crowd.
