| Where was all the furore about the Wakefield team not taking the knee today? Carney has quite obviously got a dislike for Israel Folau. The movement is about treating people equally, clearly Carney and co have lost sight of that!!

| At the risk of being controversial. If i was a player i wouldn't take the knee either. Politics should be kept out of sport. The players are there to play and win games of rugby, not to kneel to the whims of people like the BBC who make this stuff mainstream. On the other hand, i totally understand why players are doing it, but............ the fist in the air is a show of 'Black Power' which to me is a very racist thing to do also but is not picked up on. Keep it out of the game and just get on with it. Plenty of people in this world feel oppressed, me included, but not because i am/not a certain ethnic orientation.

Exactly, why do the media and especially the BBC keep showing players showing a clenched fist when it stands for black supremacy which is very racist.
All lives matter, irrespective of colour, race or religion.

| Agree with everything that has been said, but in the incident last week of Israel Folau he only kneels to his God. Who are we to cast judgement, same with Regan Grace

| Saying 'all lives matter' (nobody has said otherwise) just shows how ignorant you are.
It's basically a massive sign that says "I'm a moron", similar to the profile picture on twitter that says you voted for the Brexit party.
I'm hoping that the majority of people's comments saying this are out of ignorance rather than genuine malice, but I don't hold much hope.

I fully support the BLM movement but I respect everyone’s opinion as it is a very emotive subject.
Posts like you have made do nothing but create division.
You need to have a word with yourself.

Thought Leon Pryce on saturdays games put it very nicely when he said “he was disappointed with the press over Falou” to me he was very much put ,
Carney back in his box over the subject.
I don’t have an issue with the BLM movement but fear it’s just “cause of the month” much like last year and plastics..racism needs to be addressed but I’m not sure this is the way forward, but again I’m a middle aged white women so not affected by it.

| I can't see people kneeling at all once the crowds are let back in, as there would doubtless be a reaction from the terraces. So, there was always going to be a crossover period when some would kneel and some wouldn't. The mistake is when commentators take one side over the other as it is implying that one side is right and the other wrong, when in reality they don't have the first clue why players either kneel or don't. One week on from the Falou incident and Carney and co are already in an awkward position. They showed a distinct lack of foresight and it would be best for all now if they just let these incidents pass without comment.

Some will applaud but judging from some of the trends on Twitter this morning, some will undoubtedly boo.
Before you say it, I know that Twitter isn't the world. On the upside, quite a few of those celebrating Wakey's stance don't really seem to know who Wakefield or Wigan are, so I'd hazard a guess that they're not regular RL fans.
But daily my faith in my fellow men is shaken a little by forays onto Twitter. I would truly hate to see that being replicated at RL matches being played on live TV.
I could be wrong. They may continue to kneel. But anyone anticipating a respectful silence if they do may be demonstrating high optimism.
