| To all those who thought that JK's position was untenable after the approach from Catalans, and thought he would no longer be able to command the respect of the players and motive them:
Do you still think this is true?
Was it a fluke?
What do you think helped us win this match?

| just got back with 4 kids . set off at 1 o clock this afternoon . after being sat on that traffic for hours i would have thrown that git off the bridge myself if i had the chance no it wasn't a bloody fluke. the lads played well. defence was outstanding and as far as jk , speaking to some of the players and waatching him with the players he still commands great respect. think bj and millard were outstanding. cooke had a good game, renaldi looked as if he had been playing there all season. long day but well wworth it

| we set off at 12.oo and must have being very lucky to be stuck on M62 for 2 hours before the police had everyone turn round, strange feeling driving wrong way on motorway, had to listern to football in very slow moving traffic, had we not had contact from someone else we might have turned round, we arrived at ground just before team, hope the guy is well pleased with himself today for the havoc he caused
journey home was total different
well done wakey

This was always on the cards after the poor performances and the Kear business, its typical Wakey to bounce back, i think the players respect JK and vice versa and we seem to have almost a full strength squad so we'll see over the next few weeks.
Seems to me that Jeffries is the key.

| Maybe it was that the boys werent happy that Kear wanted to leave and wanted to show him what he would be missing...Great to see Charlie score a try...Im sure it pleased NGBC...

| Great result and a very commanding, assured performance all round - well deserved and well overdue. Despite huge disruption to the preperation (I don't think this can be overstated, it will have played havoc with the players stranded on the bus presumably with little or no food) we controlled it from start to finish and where head and shoulders above them.
That said, I don't think that Kear's ability to get the side up for a 1 off game was ever in doubt - I think this was a case of he had to win or else the knives would have really been out after the whole Catalan episode. Just as I didn't form my opinion of the whole coaching situation after 1 game, I am not going to change it back so quickly. I really hope I am wrong, and I hope he sneaks us into the last play off place, but we really need to build from here and make sure we don't go backwards from it.

| I thought there was quite a bit of improvement throughout the team but if I had to put it down to one thing I would say that it was Millards return.
The back line defence looked structured and confident and cru never looked like getting through.

I think we started most games motivated so far, in 80% of games Kear did his bit, I just don't know why the heads usually go down when we finally do concede a try.

| As one of the posters suggesting that JK's position was untenable, yesterday was a good start to proving me wrong (and if performances and results continue in the same vein, I will gladly accept I was wrong).
However, we stuffed Harlequins and should have beat Leeds away, then got stuffed at home by Wigan and threw away a commanding lead at Catalans. So forgive me, but for now, one win doesn't suddenly make everything in the garden rosey IMO
