dboy: He definitely said Rollin Shack would be shop and bar.
I'm second-guessing that they've realised that we can better use the existing buildings and increase the car parking provision.
How much do they charge for match-day parking?
An extra 50 cars on that plot x 13 games x £10 a spot = £6500 of free money, for doing nowt, whilst the Rollin building would otherwise sit idle apart from match days.
Of course, these are made up numbers...
Plus a new shop/bar would need rates paying on it + utilities.
The Rollin would not just be open match days I believe
I thought the intention is to be a sports bar and restaraunt that could generate income outside match days and on match days.
Let’s not forget that the current store in ridings will cost a fair amount being in a premium spot
Relocating this to the building in car park would save a fair few grand initially
It may also allow for those who work in the store to be utilised in other roles at the stadium/additional responsibilities.
Otherwise, if car parking is in demand then there could be the option for multi storey parking section of the car park, though planning would need to be sought, this may be the better option to maximise spacing.
