Assuming Long plays then I would drop Craig Hall and play Turner on the wing with Whiting at centre. Craig Hall’s defence is awful and I have seen no sign of improvement in this area since his debut. Keith Senior always gets the better of him. He refuses to tackle low down for some reason, god knows what they work on in training with him during the week. Our right side defence is particularly week when he plays. All teams target it. Turner is better in defence and can be just as good in attack for me.

Whilst i do like turner his attack is no where near as good as hall's as yet

Turner's defence is better than C Hall's, no doubt. Would rather have someone who can defend and offer less in attack than the worlds best attacker who is a turnstile in defence. He may as well be invisible. I repeat, why has nobody worked on this with him over the past few years?

and me, although i'd consider starting Washy at 9 and bringing Houghton off the bench. I think that plays to Houghtons strengths more around his running game vs a tired defence.
