Are we really up to the full cap?

Sept 19th six players leave:
Sean Long, Craig Fitzgibbon, Ewan Dowes, Danny Washbrook, Epalahame Lauaki, and Cameron Phelps.

Sept 22nd
Martin Gleeson, Mike Burnett and Lee Williams.

Oct 6th
Lee Radford

Nov 9th
Sam Obst

I may be wrong but I would think Long, Fitz, and Lauaki wage would have covered McKinnon, Heremaia , Seymour and Ellis.

If so, I think we have so far replaced Dowes, Washbrook, Gleeson, Burnett, Williams, Radford, Obst, and may be [iPhelps[/i wages, with Lynch, O'Carroll, Martin and Aspinwall.

If we are upto full cap then someone must be on one hell of a wedge.

Houghton signed a new deal did anyone else?

Would any players have their deals structured to have higher wages in their last year (O'meley, Manu?).

Nobody on here knows. All we can say is that we definitely [ihave[/i been up to full cap in the past as we've been pinged for exceeding it twice - albeit only slightly. I'm not sure that the side we had when we were caught the second time looked much more expensive than the one we have now.

Someone else mentioned it on another thread, but our lack of good quality youth players could be costing us in terms of the cap as we're having to employ more experienced - and therefore more expensive - players for cover.

Dunno and at the end of the day I'm not too fussed. We probably have paid over the odds in the last few years and I'm sure the likes of Seymour/Heremaia/McKinnon didn't come for peanuts. Hopefully things will rectify themselves going forward but it's not something else worth wringing hands about.

I reckon Seymour is on a massive chunk ie 250-300k

no way if he is then the club need shooting i reckon about 150k

Weve needed a proper scrum half for years and decent ones are hard to come by so when Seymour became available i bet FC just said name your price

i know what your saying but for a suoper league club to pay 300k for a player hes got to be somethig special like i say reckon hes on 150-180k
