| On the Grapevine, P Gentle is quoted, saying "“The boys probably got caught between playing to the conditions and playing in the style we had practised all week,” he said.
“It’s tough working on a game plan at training and then it all changing a few hours before kick-off, but will be better for learning to cope with that today."
This is quite troubling. I would expect any competent coach to have the foresight to check weather forecsats throughout the week preceding the game.
I recognise that the quality of weather forecasts is variable, but they are made up of intelligent predictions of probabilities; and once within 24 hrs of kick-off time, probabilities (forecasts) are very increasingly reliable, and approach certainty.
Throughout the past several days, the likelihood of Sunday's conditions steadily increased. so being caught out in the few hours before the game is inexcusable.
Its time to wake-up to the vagaries of Britain's weather Peter .
Perhaps our club needs a meteorologist.

| There was still only one team that looked like they knew what they were doing - and it WASN'T the one coached by Agar.
That will do for me.

At least you didn't have to worry about the weather.
As for the OP - give over. Pathetic.

Thats something I never thought I'd see.
I swear Gentle could lead FC to all 3 bits of silverware in a single season and some people would still find something to bitch about.
