I booked some rooms at the Travelodge in Blackpool which is just next to the South Pier when the Magic weekend was announced. For a number of reasons our regular group of Fax fans have decided not to use them and do the trip in a day.
The rooms now on Travelodge website are £122 each. I have 5 family rooms (Officially 2 adults & 2 kids per room) booked that I paid £65 per room for. I am only looking to cover my initial cost and offering them here first in case Fax Fans are struggling to find cheap accommodation.
I have confirmed with Travelodge that I can update the name on each room for free, and they will send me a new booking confirmation. They will not refund though as they were booked on a 'Saver' rate. I wouldn't expect anyone to hand over any cash until you are in receipt of the booking confirmation with your name and your booking reference number on it. I will also provide you with the original invoice confirming the price paid too. Three rooms at £69, two rooms at £61 and a £2 booking fee. For ease I am calling this £65 per room.
I'll leave it on here for a few days before offering them on the Bradford Board and beyond.
