What a disgraceful amount of money for such a small organisation it is totally unjustified, Chief Executives of local authorities get nowhere near that amount and they run organisations with thousands of staff and responsibility for social services, children's welfare, education, local markets, roads, refuse collection etc...
The Prime Minister (no matter what people think of them) gets less than half that amount and they run the bloody country!!!

Regardless of political opinion, I've always thought that the top positions in parliament are poorly paid given the grief they get, plus the enormous stress and 24x7 call on their time. Albeit there are "fringe" benefits to be had. It could be argued that regular MP's don't do too badly.

We may not like or agree with what Nigel Wood and his Red Hall team do, but it's a reasonably high-profile job, and not without its stresses or problems. However, they've not exactly had overwhelming success progressing the game, and a £314k salary is just plain bonkers.

Maybe he could could make up the 13th super league team by himself on that money must be worth the pack and a couple of halfbacks.

I would just love to see a strategy short, medium, long term with some measurables which we could hold him and his team against.
