| Fax have announced plans to apply for Super League, taking the place vacated by Toronto. What are people's thoughts on this? I think it is absolutely the right thing to do and just hope we are serious about it. Sadly though I believe the decision has already been made as to who will be the successful club. We'll see.

| The process is due to start quickly, supposedly with independent assessment based on certain criteria.
If that is the case and the SL clubs have a particular club in mind (already chosen) then it would be through them setting a criteria that best fitted that club ticking all the boxes thus covertly but decisively affecting the decision.
Conspiracy theories apart there are a number of clubs who will be throwing their hats into the ring.
Fax are right in doing so but it would be no big surprise or disappointment not to be accepted.
Connecting some of the dots from above, providing the club chosen is pretty solid off the field then it should be based on the most recent performance on the field which leads me to Fev being the choice as they were runners up to TW in the last meaningful competition.

| For me it should be either London (team relegated for TWP) or Fev (Lost GF to TWP), therefore it will be either Widnes, Bradford or Toulouse.

| While like most supporters i would love to see a competitive Halifax back in Superleague, having had hardly any rugby to watch in 2020 I would much prefer to watch a good championship side hopefully winning more than it loses, than seeing a team get completely tonked each week. That said I don't think it does any harm to keep putting the clubs name on Superleagues agenda even though I'm sure the club are not realistically thinking a bid at this stage has any chance of success whatsoever

| ....and the latest wheeze from SL is thet the lucky chosen club will get only half the funding that the other eleven teams receive. You just couldn't make this stuff up!

| Another loaded dice for the so called ELITE we cant have an upstart Championship club wanting to join the cosy closed shop cartel
We should know our place in the pecking order and not have grandiose ideas above our lowly status
The odds against any Championship club succeeding with the current system arnt great possibly Toulouse maybe

| Super Greed just want someone to make the comp up to even numbers for ease of fixtures so no club is without a game each week.
However.
Financially the club who is chosen may make more from getting 50% of SL central funding than what they would get from their Championship amount.
Other income streams like sponsorship due to some TV coverage may increase and providing crowds are allowed back the number of spectators paying on the day would likely be greater. One doomed season in SL compared with the same year in the Championship money wise they may be better off.

| Or...you could claim to have enough money to fill the gap. Get promoted and don’t spend anymore on players. Take all the distribution and get relegated on no points and then have lots of cash in the bank.....I wonder if it would work?

| Sadly we are miles away from having a realistic chance. We couldnt even submit a decent application years ago when we met the criteria . Absolutely no point wasting time on smoke and mirrors on a rfl game of chase the rainbow

Whoever gets in will have little chance of staying up but may learn and earn enough to use it to bounce back the year after. We’ve got to give it a go and hopefully the new management team will put in a good enough application. If I were a SL club I wouldn’t want to be going to Fev.

| We're out of the running at the first hurdle. Average attendance of 2,000 needed in either 2018 or 2019.
