We found Newcastle itself was either sold out or Very expensive so we are staying in Durham and getting train in, which is fairly regular

We are about 6 miles due South from you, Seaburn, posh part of Sunderland  . Some nice walking around South Shields, and the Barbour Factory shop if you like that kind of gear. |

Good I have been told there are some good Real ale pubs and decent restaurants. Last train from Newcastle is just after 10 pm I think so will need to be swift after game I reckon |

staying at the Premier Inn near the airport, was originally in south shields but they could not give us an extra room so we moved. Anyway not far from metro and short ride in looking forward as usual
