I'm pleased with that - he has been in fine form this season and there is no reason why he can't next season. It will give the young lads more time to come through.

He's in form everytime his contract is due. I still think Makinson and Foster are more talented and faster wingers now

IMO makinson is better than Gardner and will be disappointed if he takes his wing spot as he's looking a very good player.

Well that's a shame. Saints aren't learning that sometimes we need to let players go, regardless of the length of time they have played for us.

Unless Makinson is seen long term as something else? Wello's understudy perhaps? A future centre? (He played centre and fullback before this season)

I see what your saying that saints might see makinson as long term but he's in now and more than punching above his weight.

If he's seen as wello replacement then leave him on the wing and let him to continue to develop and we will have better idea if he's up to it.

IMO he's the best winger at the club at this current time. He's fast, safe, strong, tackles and looks like he can make a break.

If saints had been on the ball recruitment wise then both ade and Meli (when he was winger) should have been replaced two years ago.

How Meli got a two year deal last year in the form he was in was unreal!

to be fair meli got something like 21 trys last year, with no recognised centre. letting a player like that go would have been dumb!
