A lot of nonsense to come out of Barrow for the forseeable future then. Why anyone would employ Schofield is beyond me.

Interesting move by Barrow.
Not sure I entirely agree with it though.
Jon Sharp – proven record at SL level with Hudds taking them to CC Final first time in 50+ years and Playoffs for the first time in the clubs history
Martin Crompton – proven record at Championship 1 level inheriting a poor Blackpool team and turning them into a playoff team (only poor off field management let him down)
Garry Schofield – unproven at any level. Struggled at Huddersfield back in 90’s. Did well with a BARLA side against poor oppositions and now head coach of one of the top 3 clubs outside SL.
I suppose you have to have an opportunity so good luck to him.

Why ? By all accounts he did a tremendous job recently with the BARLA Young Lions and had them playing a successful entertaining style of rugby. |

Fantastic player with a great RL brain, I played opposite him in 82 before he ruined me, seemed a tad bitter in the past decade or so. Hope it works out well for him.

He has spouted a lot of wierd stuff in recent years, and as a human being he comes across as being in the lower percentile (I'm trying to be polite). If he does a good job though I'm sure those things won't matter

i dont think they'll go backwards because of the quality of players they have.
the problem is you've go two big Ego,s which are going to collide at some point,thats when the poo will hit the fan and schofield will walk away. |
