Feel for the Wakey fans having to endure that. WHat is a concern from reading his post match comments, is he is happy for them to get stuffed for the rest of the season.

What a disgraceful way to treat the fans! Oif he thinks fans will go every week to see them get hammered, then turn up for the middle 8's with a fully fit squad and turn the form on he's deluded.

Fans are massive. You go into a game with a feel good factor, the team performs. Go in to a game after been battered every week with small support as the fans a fed up of forking out to see them get hammered, they will struggle.

Could have long term implications if he writes their season off from now until the split. Why would fans buy season tickets next year.

Webster did not give himself the job nor did he give himself such a long contract.

There are better coaches around than Webster and his assistants are ordinary.

Perhaps they should flick the assistants and bring in a 'director of rugby'. All actions now should be focussed on having a team that will finish top 3 in the second phase of the season.

Webster and Wakefield have to be very careful. This approach might secure Wakefield's position in SL for 2016, but what state will they be in? You can't just sack off the entire season, you'll have no fans left in 2016.

Another bit which struck me as strange was this particular piece of battery from Webster:

Wakefield have played the same amount of games in the same period as everyone else.
If his claim were true then Wakefield would somehow be at least 6 days behind the rest of the world.

He's clutching at straws, the truth is he's out of his depth, unable to manage the current injury crisis, too inexperienced to generate motivation in a depressed dressing room and has lost the confidence of his players.

The only way is out, he should take a leaf from Richard Agars book and walk away without looking for a pay off, he simply does not deserve one!

Agree with that. He might well turn out to be a cracking head coach in the future but, a bit like Radford, he seems to have been promoted too early.

I totally sympathise with Wakefield's general situation, it's not easy to run a SL club on sod all money. But it appears as if the scrimping and saving has led to the current situation of a small squad and a poor coaching team.

When you look at that Wakefield side, it's full of players who have plenty of experience either in SL or the NRL, or both. It's not like they're being forced to put out a team of kids every week.

There's no way that group of players should be taking the beatings they are. Point the finger at the coach all you like, but it looks like a lot of those players have decided they only need to make an effort in the last seven weeks of the season. That attitude is cancerous. It's the kind of thing that kills a club by stealth.

Agreed but it seems as if that attitude is, at the very least, being reinforced by the coach.

Judging by the number of laughs, your either an ex Wakefield supporter, or just relishing the thought of playing them in the middle eight?
