Out of the twelve current S.L. clubs, who as a supporter thinks their club has had it the roughest over, let’s say the last Thirty Years?

The reason I’ve excluded many clubs (and Bradford fans need not apply, as I’d swap their Roller Coaster for mine, in a heartbeat) is that I know it has been worse for you, but seriously?

Is there another club in S.L. that’s had it as bad as Wakefield Trinity?

If there is someone who moans about their lot regarding the team they support & it’s worse than mine, I’d like to hear your genuine reason as to why you think you’ve had it worse?

I'd say closest bag o e to you lot would be salford.

I’d tend to agree, I believe neither set of fans have witnessed a major trophy final in that time, at least they have a decent ground & a chance to dream, so only a fairly close second.

But if I had put the last forty years & they’d have walked it, the seventies was the last time Salford had success in living memory.

Whilst Wakefield have had it pretty tough you've made it into the play-offs a couple of times, and won numerous vital matches to avoid relegation.

Guess Huddersfield fans have had it quite rough, stuck at the bottom of the SL table for a good few years, the merger, relegation, and now, wilst substantially improved, gaining a reputation for always just falling short of winning a trophy.

I would say, for sheer size, expectation and fan base of the club that Hull FC with just 1 CC and plenty of false dawns to show for the last 30 years is pretty disappointing.

Yeah wakefield have had it really bad. Allowed into superleague despite having a ground that didn't meet criteria - after years of NFP clubs being turned down. Going bust twice without having any real sanctions against them - certainly not having the other teams in the league share out half of their funding. I won't mention crusaders pulling out as the idea that wakefield were going out otherwise was just a rumour. As we know RFL don't do anything to stop false rumours for example the idea Bradford had secret payments to keep them going - since proves to be load of garbage in the high court. Even now relegation and promotion are back but its done in such a way that no one will go down/up.

All you can moan about really is Eric France going bust but that was tempered by your share of Bradford's funding the following year. Plus you were able to cut spending to balance the books as the wheels falling off at Bradford meant you even made the play offs that year - due to the points deduction.

We have had it bad but I think that is only because we expect so much, we have still been to 4 finals in 10 years, granted it was a bit sp between the mid-80s and 2005 but you know. If you want a bad time take a trip to our friends across the river. First cup final for 30 years and they get slaughtered 50-0, up and down relegation wise, not exactly the best ground (although it is getting better, I will give them that).

Write a blues song about it. It might be a mega hit & you could buy Wakey out of their woes. "Woke up this mornin', Smithy woz gon & left me,...."

Leigh, London, Featherstone, Castleford, Widnes, Sheffield, Gateshead, Blackpool, Keighley, Halifax, South Wales based Crusaders fans, Bradford, Swinton there are many can moan. It's just Wakefield fans seem to enjoy it!

I see your point, but it the last 30 years I have seen us win 2 trophies (Not one), play at numerous finals and semi finals and win a few play off games, while that isn't as good as Bradford, Saints, Warrington, Wigan and Leeds, I am sure that most clubs would swap that for what they have seen the last 30 years or so.

There's loads of clubs had it a lot tougher than WTW over the years.
A better question would be - what have they brought to the competition over the last 17 years in SL? Survival ever year as their sole aim? Avoiding the million pound game?
Sky certainly aren't getting their monies worth from WTW - they avoid picking them as much as they can.
