Was that the shoulder charge when he left the field injured. Or was it the Lineham tackle.

The Lineham tackle. I've watched it back since, and the first contact is indeed shoulder to face.

And to think there were idiots on here that defended the tackle.

It wasn't just the tackle which was distasteful but the bellowing in Lineham's ear when he was prone on the ground....He's a sorry excuse for a sportsman and a human being but you have to make allowances for him being low down in the chain of evolution.

Clubs was running around trying to smash everybody!! I do not for one minute think hearties to smash his shoulder into his face, and lineham was ko,d after was out of order.

Let's not go ott tho and start punishing people retrospectively down to an.injury sustained. It was more. A poorly timed tackle that resulted in an injury and a one game ban probably fair. Not had chance to watch since learning of charge but when watched it didn't see much in it. It wasn't mentioned in here prior to charge or on wigans sovnobody has been outraged by it prior.

I personally don't see anything wrong with the challenge. He hasn't gone in with his shoulder or angled his shoulder to make first impact, he has his arms out to make a genuine tackle and has sent lineham flying.

Contact with the shoulder looks minimal on the replay anyway, and he can't make his shoulder disappear.

If lineham didn't stay down it wouldn't even have been brought up.

Game is going downhill.

It clearly wasn't minimal given that it knocked Lineham out...

Think the ban was well deserved - first contact is clearly with the head.
