| Anyone heard anything? I initially thought they'd be poor after last season unless there was a complete clear out. With the signing announced I though they would pick up to usual numbers.
However... I've just had a call off of the club. Mathers to be precise, "Hiya, we see you haven't renewed your ticket and the early bird deadline has passed... We will still offer the early bird price you now f you want it"
Is this a worrying sign? Or merely the club showing initiative and chasing ST regulars who haven't renewed?

| They hammered the early bird deadline ad,posted a daily countdown, not sure if we can read anything into that, was it just advertising or desperation?

I think the club have, for the first time in the new era, realised that all the kiss-cams and community work in the world won't alter the fact that a team that nearly gets relegated isn't one to buy a season ticket for.
Primarily, a winning team sells tickets and the ancillary stuff adds a little bit more to the experience. Let's hope Price can get us back to our 2010-2013 position.

| I had a call last week asking when I was going to renew (I get 3 tickets). I did renew yesterday, but only because my son has moved back into the town and he said he wanted to start going again. The person who has been going with me the last 4 seasons didn't renew.
I have had a season ticket (including life membership) since 1967, but if my son had not wanted to go, I wouldn't have renewed. This isn't just because of the results, but the awful quality of rugby we played last year and I've just lost the excitement of going.
I think the current setup of the competition is also dreadful, the RFL are the most incompetent bunch of morons in charge of any sport.
I think this year will see the lowest season ticket sales since we moved to the HJ.

Exactly - ST sales are good for a club because it's guaranteed revenue and cahsflow upfront. Easier for budgeting and more secure.
However, number of bods through the turnstile = match day revenue, whether you've paid up front or paid on the day.
The end of year balance sheet doesn't care either way, as long as you turned up and paid.
If we start winning, playing well, and players like Roberts start to show, we start regularly seeing 12K in the stadium, and the club are happy.
Repeat last year and it will be south of 8K.

| I've bought mine..... solely on the back of a new coach and when the murdoch masila rumour became clearly a realistic move.
Had smith remained I wouldn't have renewed.
But what hits home at the shambles of the sport is when I looked at the fixture list and the list ends in July. .....
July. ....who's going to buy a season ticket when a third of the season is a complete unknown. .....
People are rolling out all sorts of daft excuses on Facebook but the reality is people have less money. ..something has to give, and although I'm genuinely excited for our season ahead I'm afraid the game has seriously lost its sparkle.
The sooner Thursday night rugby and the super 8's goes. ..the better. Oh and Catalan away in winter. ....

Genuinely him on the other end of the line.
"Hiya is *** there?"
I thought to myself, that voice sounds very familiar... "Yes, speaking. Who's this?"
"Yeah it's Richie here from from Warrington wolves.",
"Richie Mathers?"
"Yes that's right"
I nearly blurted out "Do you want to come round for tea" when he confirmed it was him
