Worry our bench will be too light

And that is why most the off season chat was about bringing in another prop. Not saying he would of played but I thought Latu may have been added to the 21.

I don't really understand why Latu hasn't been included either. Even if he was simply told to run with the ball, tackle anything that moves, but no offloads it would have bolstered the go-forward. I am sure (assuming he is picked) that Robson will benefit from a SL game so he can 'see what he needs to do' to make the step up, but why pick him so early in the season and against tough opponents ? Why not against eg Toronto ?

I think simply not fit enough, he would be exposed by that Saints pack.

Burrell rather than Robson or Johnson, I suspect.

Tough call on the bench spot. I haven’t seen Johnson play so can’t really call it.

If we're still in the game at the 60 minute mark, Walmsley and Thompson will come back on and flatten us.

Even a 20 minute stint from Latu would have helped.

Bench of Akauola, Burrell , Walker and either Johnson or Robson. My money is on Johnson.

I was expecting Latu to play but there are probably concerns about his defence at this stage having had so little time to train with the team and also a shortage of fitness. He may even have had some sort of niggle or reaction following last weekend's Reserve fixture.

I think we'll see Latu against Toronto, he'll have had 3 weeks training with us
and 2 reserve games by then so he shouldn't be far off from where he needs to be

I wonder if Davis will get the nod over Walker on the basis of defence?
