Effective from tomorrow you can suspend your subscription to Sky Sports FOC.

Needs to be done online and Sky will automatically restart your subscription when there is something to watch.

Anyone got sky sports and hasn’t don’t it, they will pause your subscription until sport comes back on. 0344 824 4450. Automated service. 2 mins. When asked say remove sky sports and they will then say do you want to pause sky sports.

and you still get the channels, which is nice.

So the sports channels stay on showing all the repeats they have been showing?

Why the need to phone up then?.. why can't they just automatically amend everyone's account that has the sky sports package on it?

Have paused ours, but used the number on the Warrington Guardian Web Site. Tried 0344 824 etc. but kept getting cut off.

I used this number 0800 151 2747 and spoke to human. If there's no live sport come June, Sky will then automatically re-apply the pause.

Does that include Sky Sports Arena which is still showing N.R.L. albeit behind closed doors?

Still makes me wonder that, if they can automatically switch it back on, why couldn't they automatically switch it off, without the need for a phone call, in the first place?

Because they're a business and will make money off the people that don't bother pausing it. A lot of people either won't know about it or don't bother ringing up, sneaky way to keep their money flowing.
