One of the rugby papers reports that Leigh have placed an advert for a General Manager with a closing date of 31st December. Responsibilities include first team with the assistant coaches, reporting to the CEO. Other responsibilities/skills include knowledge of grants, bringing in sponsorship and virtually every other business skill you can think of.

Due to various projects I am working on at the moment' not least my charity work.

I have not applied. I suppose you could say this opportunity has sadly not come at the right time.

Good question - I think no, I think they are incorporating the coaching position into the job.

He would also be working for the LSV. I think there maybe be method in the apparent madness

Maybe it would be easier for the New Zealander to obtain a work permit AND visa if he was employed by the LSV (funded by local government) rather than a professional RL club who looked like they could be going into history a few months ago.

Seems to me that the club and the LSV are working together on this one.
