Has anyone heard a whisper about Jordan Rankin being a possible target of the Giants, I heard that today. ( No idea if there is anything in it or not ) Very much a utility player and pretty much the same standard as Turner i would say.

Don't need another fullback- not sure he's what we want in the halves either. Wing/hooker/centre- he plays all over. Utility players are useful to have, but a team of them? Who is he better than who we would be happy to drop- and if he's coming from Aus it's an expensive player to not be playing. Either way we will have to lose a non-fed trained player to fit him in.

Not sure i would be busting a gut to sign him myself jools, He did seem to do a decent job at Hull as i remember but he never struck me as outstanding, though Hull fans would know more about him.

However it was only a whisper i heard and no more, It struck me as a funny name to just pull out of a hat though, so time will tell. The other thing is. Is RS sorting players out for next year and going forward.

If we waste a quota spot on Rankin we really are desperate.

He's a decent fullback with a good passing game but isn't a very good half/winger/hooker. You're better off with Mamo

Jordan is a great player who offers a team huge utility value. But can also perform at a high level in a number of positions.

He debuted at 16 years old in the NRL. That is an unbelievable achievement, in fact it's almost an impossible achievement.

I would be ecstatic with this signing, I can finally see a squad that on paper is more than capable of competing with the best.
