With a heavy heart I can announce today was my last day with
@LondonBroncosRL as unfortunately my role of Media Manager has been made redundant.
I have worked with many fantastic people in the past 4 years and wish them all good luck in their futures.

There may be more to this. However it is not nice to see someone lose their job. Especially at this time. Sometimes things have to be done, however unpleasant.
Media Manager is an important position within the club and it is not the sort of position that you can get a Monkey to do. Or can you?

Agree fully with your sentiments. Sad loss on both fronts.

Don’t know the circumstances but Neil did seem to become more arrogant as time went on. His relationship with a number of fans seemed to deteriorate.

Never like seeing anyone losing their job, but media wise we did not feed rugby minded journalists enough!

Let us judge how good Neil was by the performance of whoever takes over the job from him.
My expectations are not too high.

He was made redundant so won't be replaced

Someone has to do the job. Whatever title that they give that person.
Perhaps they the club are giving up on dealing with the Media. We shall have to see.

Made no difference with myself after 21 years service, a college boy I'd taken in for two summers filled my post, they just altered his title, I was headhunted quickly, a year later I came up against the young guy, massive two day event, it hurt me going against my ex company, and gave me no satisfaction when I with a company only a few years old won!

There are two major freelance RL journalists ho get so much coverage for the sport in two big tabloids, all they need is the information and news, a good media person at a club will work hard to make it a big story! If we do move grounds getting in those two daily newspapers regular is essential!
