There are bigger issues with the side than Owen. The ability is there, the application is very inconsistent.

I think Owen had a good game today, unfortunately he tried forcing a few passes which weren't on, but he wasn't the only one. I'd say Collis made a few wrong decisions to force the pass and turn the ball over.

Ah, back to Owen after Scruton?
Was instrumental in one try we scored and generally looked ok for me.

I have never read such drivel, you pick out one player because of the personal vendetta some of you have. He gave a pass trying to create a scoring opportunity when the score was something like 30 points to 14, what do you want him to do just accept the tackle. I heard some around me criticising Hall for the failed short kick off, so what it didn't work but neither did it lose us the game.

He probably wasn't at his best today but he wasn't alone there and shouldn't really be singled out. He did look like like he picked up a knock so Johnstone might get his place next week.

The only criticism of the short kick off, is that it should have been tried earlier, or even mix it up.
Brough would have been trying alsorts of kick off, if Hudds had been behind.
Think this is the only time that I agree with NGB4C about mixing the kick offs up!!

At that stage of the game we were never going to get back into it so all Hall did with the short kick off was gift the giants the field position to score yet another try, but that wasn't as bad as the suicidal pass he threw on our line which led to their last try. Just a couple of examples of poor decision making which seemed to affect quite a few players today
