| If we sell Solomona for the amount of money rumoured (350k+) how much if this would it take to buy Tom Johnstone? We've heard the "he's not for sale" statement, but everyone knows that every player has a price.

I'd hope we'd never sell him to you

| Seriously
£500,000
If a one season wonder like Solomona who looked average at London and counts on the overseas quota is worth £300k then Johnstone is worth every penny of my valuation.
He won't go to Cas though, like every genuine Wakefield product, he has a dislike of all things East of the common built into his DNA

| Any club spending that kind of cash on a winger has way too much money. Id understand if ut was a top class half or a top knot notch full back.

£500,000?
Then surely you should be putting him up for sale ,Wakefield couldn't refuse offers like that.....I'm sure all the top clubs in the NRL and RU would snap your hands off for this lad!
As for Denny and a one season wonder!?!, he hit the ground running as soon as he put the cas shirt on when we signed him.

More like a two season wonder, his try to game ratio in 2015 was excellent too.
However, I think the key to his success was Gale and Dorn. Any decent SL winger would have scored most of the tries Solomona scored last year. The kind of money we are supposedly being offered is ridiculous and we'd be mad to turn it down.
I'm not sure Johnstone is worth more than a player who has just broken the SL try-scoring record and was nominated for MoS (and I know you don't either), but I do think he's one of the most promising wingers I've seen for a long time.

| He's too good for Castleford no matter how much money you threw towards him. The place I'd expect him to move would be to a club who is consistently competing for silverware (Wigan most likely) as they have the money and the prestige. Cas isn't really much of a step up from where he is now

I was thinking he'd more likely go to Warrington, who seem to have the need for a winger.
However, the attraction of playing under Powell would be there and he wouldn't need to move house.

Warrington is hardly the other side of the world and as good as Powell is I'd imagine most people would rather play under Tony Smith.
It's all academic anyway since he's not actually leaving or even rumoured to be leaving, just you randomly deciding that Cas are interested in him for some reason.
