| The new season is about to start and walking round Wakefield you would have no idea. I know supporters are not able to attend but we are in real danger of becoming irrelevant to potential fans. On top of that, driving home today I see an electronic billboard promoting Wakefield AFC to rush hour traffic by the A61 near what was Charlie Browns. 'Bringing football to Wakefield!'.
If a barely more than Sunday League club can afford to do this why can't Trinity?
Fully prepared to see the standard response that the best way to increase support is a challenge cup win but let's be honest it's not happened for a life time and looks more unlikely now than it ever was, so something has to give in the interim.
What is the strategy to increase our average? Perhaps a good question for JM or MC?

| I'm convinced that the only thing that will bring the crowds back to BV is a winning team in a decent stadium.
The stadium alone will not do it - ask Widnes fans.
I remember a few years ago there were mobile advertising boards around Wakefield. I don't think it made any difference to attendances!
Like it or not the vast majority of the Wakefield public couldn't give a monkeys about Tr.inity

Yawn
I love it, you’re reasonably optimistic and your accused of being rose tinted like it’s a disease.

What if the team isn't or very good a winning games, how can the club increase the average to get more revenue to boost the chances of winning more games?

| More people associate Jane McDonald with Wakefield than Trinity.

| We could do with whatever it is that they put into the water in Castleford; a small town with an above average side yet the public there really connect with their club. Not so much during lockdown, but walking through the town centre in normal times (running through is probably safer) there seems to be a "Tigers" buzz in the air. They even have a gigantic alternative entertainment venue located there, but "Cas chat" in "The Glass Blower" and other pubs is always very prominent.

Nail on head.
Trinity haven't won a major trophy for over 50 years and this and only this will have a major effect on crowd numbers.
The revamped stadium will help to add some numbers but, only on field success will really make a difference.

Bringing football to Wakefield? They play in Featherstone.

| I actually think getting one of the big pubs on board in the Centre of Wakey is a good idea - where everyone goes before and after games - have a bus to and from ground - will get the pub known as the wakey trintiy pub - signs /flags etc outisde pub at all times
the players come back there after games etc - the buzz will be created .
over here the leagues clubs near the grounds are full before after and even when the games are not on
