Does anyone know how match attendances are verified for IMG? Our ground seems to be bigger than Cas and when we are totally sold out we currently hold just over 8k.  Cas capacity seems to be 12k and not sure how that can be.  When it seemed half empty last year they said crowd was 8k.  They never seem to publish attendance figures.


Surely gate receipt will be verified for tax purposes? It seems we are pretty up front.  Last year their declared numbers more of less got them to bang on 7.5k to get extra IMG score.

Well for a start they have 4 sides. 

A bit of an aside, don’t you get IMG points for average attendance being over 7,500?

3 year average, those points are not coming our way for a few seasons yet if attendances hold. By then Wood will have scrapped IMG at the behest of the clubs for some archaic method of running the game.

What I don't understand is how our capacity is still the same as last season (Toulouse game). We've had extra work done on the corners plus the temporary South Terrace, I would have though we were looking at at least an extra 500.

I got told on Friday night that we have not been re-assessed since the works have been completed. My source wasn't sure if that was down to the council or the club but either way it's not doing us any favours 

Let’s hope that it is re-assessed soon as I think it could be utilised for a few more home games this season like Leeds, KR and maybe Cas at home. Even like you say a 500 increase would go a long way. That said the south must hold 300 or so alone? So I wouldn’t be surprised to see it raise by more than 500 and even be closer to 1000 increase now the terracing is practically new. 

Probably waiting for PP to be approved before it can be reassessed, particularly with the southern terrace.
