Having signed 2 internationals within a week, the HDM article on Rovers shopping in the bargain basement is starting to look pretty daft.
With us still needing at least a scrum half and probably another 1/2 forwards where do people see these coming from?
Presumably we aren't trawling the championship looking to replace Dobson and we are also linked with the Titans Luke O'Dwyer, so does anyone see any likelihood in this story being given any kind of credibility and if so, who would be worth a look in the lower divisions?

The HDM and credibility should never be put together.
Hell they don't even do their own interviews anymore they just lift them from Humberside.

I think Weyman, Costigan and the new hb we're looking for in the NRL are the glamour side of our recruitment - but with the following either certainly or likely leaving or gone:

Dobson, Paea, Paterson, O'Hara, Mika, Withers, Latus and Beaumont

Then question marks over one or two others on the fringes, there are certainly still some shirts to fill. A couple of fed-trained forwards. And given the attempt to sign Cockayne, maybe a wing to free up Hall to 'just' cover 1, 6, 7 and (indirectly, possibly moving Burns) 9.
Forwards - Barlow has just gone on loan to Fev from Fax. Not been in the best of form this year apparently. Ambler? Crossley or England from Featherstone? Amor from Wakefield would be good.

Obviously a half is essential, then I think a "development" prop/2nd row (possibly Sam Barlow who ive heard mentioned) and another utility forward and I would say the squad is complete. It would be nice to get all the business done before the end of the season so we are all settled to get a full pre-season with a full squad.

Your recruitment is looking good, as long as those 2 players bring their 'A' game. Never thought Weyman has looked anything more than solid, but maybe that is what your pack lacks at the moment. Costigan, if stays injury free, will be a good player.

Just need our recruitment to start now, apart from Paea. Mind you, were probably seeing who we can release and get out the club following our recent form!

Rumour has it that we may have matched the saints offer to Beaumont.
Could be rubbish I guess we will soon see.

He's a decent player to have in the squad and would mean we wouldn't need to recruit another forward imo. He's never going to be a world beater but again, I don't think he would ever let you down.

Must admit I wouldn't be too bothered to see Beaumont go to Saints. Never seen anything in him to warrant an improved deal.
